Default Hole in Convertible Top

One of the bolts under the front of my 06 convertible top has worn a hole in the top at 6500 miles. The fix is grind down the bolts an replace the top under warranty. Has anyone else had this problem?

Is there anything I should watch out for in having the top replaced? All I want is the end result to be "as good as new".

is the hole by the head of the passenger or the driver where the window frame rubs when raising or lowering? Not sure about the bolt thing.

The bolt/screw is located near the center of the top about an 1 1/2 inches from the windshield. The bolts can be felt through the top. There's at least four bolts across the front. Chevy says the fix is to grind down the bolt/screw heads, cover them with felt, and replace the top.

Me too...! The top is unbelievably expensive to replace, and I've heard the glass can't be done separately if it needs replacing...wow..
