Default Woodburn Raceway

I took my pretty much stock 99 coupe C5 to Woodburn Raceway in Oregon yesterday to make a few passes down the strip ... I was the only C5 there, but there were 2 C6's, both 2008's and both bone stock, one Black and the other Silver. The Silver C6 had the performance package and the Black one did not. The Black one had about 1500 miles on it while the Silver one had only 500 miles on it !!

So the Black C6 and I set up to race each other first, with my traction control ON I ran a 13.225 @106.90 to his 13.439 @ 108.77.

I had beat him, but he was trying different things out, he was trying to use his paddle shifters and shift thru the gears, he said he hit the rev limiter on each gear.

So then it was the Silver C6's turn and he ran a 12.496 @ 115. something.
The guy in the Black C6 was a little upset and said "I hope mine's not supposed to run that fast" The guy in the Silver C6 said "Yea, it is supposed to run that fast"
So after a little coaching from the Silver C6 guy on the next run I took my traction control OFF and I ran a much better 13.016 @107.20 but I lost this time to the much improved Black C6 time of 12.626 @ 115.60.
I don't know much about the C6's but what he did different this time is just leave it in "S" and let the car shift for you. "S" stands for "Sport" driving, it's like leaving the car in "D" but "S" is faster, shifts better, etc.

I made one more run of 13.20 @ 106.62 but the C6's kept running and I couldn't get their times.

All in all it was a really good day for all of us, the 13.016 time was my best ever, I'd really like to get into the 12's so I gotta work on something, but I didn't see what I could do that day to make it any faster so I stopped.

I didn't get the other guys names so I'm posting this in the C6 section.

I'm not sure who the other C6's were but next you go out be sure to PM me and I'll go with.

Also, there is a Pacific Northwest section on these forums so you may have better luck there finding out who they were.
