I could be mistaken but there is a rumor that the LS7 intake manifold will fit an LS3 motor. In another post, I believe on LS1tech, the LS7 manifold was reported to flow 330 cfm versus 300 cfm for the LS3 manifold ( Fast for LS1/2= 300cfm)...anyone try this?
The LS7 instake manifold is already on the LS3 (or at least really close to it). The LS7 heads are on the LS3, minus additional porting and polishing that the the LS7 heads get. The LS7 injectors are already on the LS3.
Check out the latest Corvette Fever article about it.
Now you'll need to bolt on the LS7 short block to the LS3 and you're in good shape. . .
There is a huge difference between the LS3 and LS7 intakes, though.
The architecture isn't even similar. The LS7 has a much straighter runner (less arch to it). As a result, the LS7 flows about 30 cfm more in stock than the LS3 (and L76).
Oh... and the head ports are different, too. The LS3 could be called derivative of the LS7... but the same? Not really even close when you look at parts side by side.
