I just got a 2008 LS3 Z51, and the only performance mod that I have made so far is Corsa Exhaust. I'm runnin a little tight in the $$$ department, but I am still trying to get some more power. Anyone have any suggestions on some budget HP ideas. Eventually I'll do the headers and Dyno Tune, but until then I need some quick cheap HP ideas.

My advice: Don't do anything cheap or fast. You'll regret it later. Take your time and plan it out.
Base kits are 600 but they are rediculous to run that way. It should be considered a minimum to have a window switch. Also the tune is so critical that you should include the tune at 500 for any install. 40 bucks to fill the bottle for 150HP hits will add up.
My total system was 2500 in parts and I dont have a purge.
Why would a guy drop 1400 on an exhaust which makes no power when headers would increase the sound/tone and net 30+HP?
Gears would be the best first mod for performance.
A Vararam is the next best cheap mod at 400 and the intkae manifold swapped out for a FAST would be the next best gainer.

Actually I only spent $1000 on the exhaust, and the reason for going that route first was I couldn't say no to that damn intoxicating sound. Headers are gonna happen eventually, but or now I am gonna go with the Callaway Honker system to hold me over.
A dyno tune would be the best cheap HP. But to be honest, if headers are too expensive, there's not much there for you to play with. THe Headers and CAI are the base upgrades...
The FAST and a cam are next, then the headers or supercharger.
Gears are another wa to go... But reguardless of which way you move, the tune is going to net you the best results.
