Lowering an F55 suspension with anything other than stock bolts can lead to error messages. The F55 is a different animal than the other suspensions. If you try to slam it I suspect that it will bring more headaches than it is worth for the owner.
I lowered my '05 F55 three years ago and have not had any problems at all (except I put on EE frame rails because I was scraping a couple speed bumps in my area).
It's not totally slammed, but I had to cut the bushings in the rear to get it down where I wanted it.
I don't think a lowered F55 will give any problems you wouldn't get with other lowered suspensions.
And yes, the procedure is exactly the same as your Z51.

Assuming you used stock bolts to lower because you cut the rear bushings, how far did you lower the bolts in the front? All the way? And in the rear how many ribs (they call it) or how much did you cut off? Any electrical problems of ownership of lowered on F55 suspension? I plan on doing it on the my F55. Thanx

I took the stock bolts out and cut the bushings. I left about 1/8 inch of rubber on the bolt head. A lot of owners have cut the bushings with a sawzall or PVC cable saw with the bolts still in the car.
I can't remember how much I lowered it - it's been more than 3 years now since I did it.
No problems with the F55 shocks - they work great!!
Below is a shot of my '05 coupe before I lowered it. The rear end stuck way up in the air, even more than it appears to do in this photo (my driveway has a slight upslope). You can see the very large gap between the wheels and the edge of the fender well, especially in the rear.
I didn't slam it, but I did need to cut the rear bushings to get it down where I wanted it. I think it now looks 1,000% better than it did with the rear end in the air and the huge gap in the wheel well.
Now my Z06 - it's perfect the way it came from the factory, and I haven't done anything to it!!!
