I have a stock LS7 throttle body I want to use to replace the LS2 TB in my 05'C6 with a hole drilled in it. I have a heads/cam car that needed the hole to idle properly but apparently new tuning software can bypass this problem...Thanx!
Physically it works. There is an exta mounting hole on the top that you don't use. However I understand that the two rheostats of the TBS are incompatable with the LS7. I would be sure to check that out.
Edit: Here's how I verify those things: Make a chart. Measure the overall resistance across the rheostats. Then measure across the wiper and ground, and wiper and +5V. Do this with both the TB plate fully closed (neutral, not forced closed), and fully held open. Compare the resistance readings between the two TBs. There is your answer. Same readings are compatable, if there is a significant difference, it is incompatable.

There is not an extra mounting hole. There is no difference in the car 90mm TB's at all. I work with these all the time and know for a fact there is no difference.
If there were a question about the compatibility for some other theroretical project your method would be great to help sort out the issue. In this case the facts were in long ago.
