The dealer reprograms the '05 MN6 BCM body control module so that the system ignores some shut down anomalies. Otherwise on rare occasion the car may not completely shut down and this will drain the battery in 1-2 days if left sitting.

I had the bulletin performed for a battery issue on my 2005 with manual transmission. The programming changed the calibration of the RCDLR (remote control door lock receiver module) located above the radio.
