I'm looking to add it EXACTLY like the factory installed it and it all seems possible, except that I will have to use an aftermarket controller, like the one from Sunset Orange Creations that is controllled by the visor garage door opener button, which is what I would have done, had I had the option anyway.
The question I have is, can you NPP owners post some engine bay pictures? It seems the vacuum line runs from the back of the manufold forward and joins the fuel line on it's way down under the car. Pictures of the driver's side of the engine would be a great help.
if anyway has pictures of the underside of the car in the muffler area, it would be a great help too. I want to see the vacuum storage ball installation location too. . .
If you install the pipedreams controller you won't need to run a line to the engine bay. I believe pipedreams has a complete system that works similar to the stock setup. I have the manual system and programed my visor buttons to turn it on and off.

Good luck then....It's been done (by Sunset Orange as I recall) Do a search here. It;s been written up. BUT, the new self contained NPP in a Box solutions are much simpler and install in minutes...No downside that can see...

The line from the manifold to the hard line for the NPP runs right next to the brake booster vacuum line on the back of the manifold. It has a little clip that holds it on the brake booster vacuum line so it doesnt flop around.
If you have all the parts you can see how it all goes together. It was actually really easy to do the vacuum tubing. They all snap togeter with sealed connectors. and all the hangers are in place on the car already for the hard lines.
The hardest part was all those little bolts on the tunnel plate. I couldnty find my3/8 to 1/4 adapter for my air wratchet soI did them all witha regular ratchet and it took a few minutes with a few breaks....
It might be hard to get a pic of the npp line on the back of the manifold. I had to use a mirror to seee the spot where it plugs in. And did it by feel. I plugged inteh rubber line and then clipped it to the brake booster line, then plugged it into the hard line that runs upnext to the fuel line.
The issues is accessing the vacuum line and running it to the rear of the car, (look up member "BUB") he has pictures on how he did it. I have the OEM vacuum ***** and have made a few wireless control systems for those that want to use engine vacuum.
So I would provide all you need and you just provide the engine vacuum to the rear. Let me know since it's a custom build
OK Im guess Im gonna sound really ignorant here but thats ok Im learning. Could someone explain to me what NPP is?
Thank you
And Sorry

NPP is the option code for the dual mode exhaust on the non Z06 Corvette. (The Z06 already has a dual mode exhaust standard)
This option began in 2008 model year.
It uses engine vacumm to open and close the valve that allows the exhaust to bypass the mufflers and come straight out through the center two exhaust tips. When closed, it comes out of the outter two tips.
It adds cool sound and 6 HP and 4 ft-lbs of torque. Probably can;t feel it, but sounds cool.
From the factory this happens automatically at 3500 RPM, after market it happens via a remote button via an after market controller.

No problem, NPP is an option code on the 2008 C6. It's a bi-mode exaust option. The inner two tips have flaps that open over 3000 rpm, these tips are straight pipes so you get a much more aggressive sound
Thanks for the information I was completely lost. I have an 08 C6 with 430 HP I didnt get the 436. So would the NPP be something to consider even if I go with the Corsa Sport Exhaust and LG or Kook Headers, or would the NPP not be an option then? Also if I go with the after market pipes and headers is it possible to leave the catalatic converter in to be some what legal? And if I can what would the down fall be? Im basically looking for sound and not so much the HP.

The NPP is the dual mode muffler. if you go with the Corsa, there are no valves in the Corsa, so you'd eliminate the NPP if you had it, by going to the Corsa. . .
I have an 08 with the NPP. I'm quite certain that I can feel quite a surge when the second pair opens.
Maybe this is just the engine getting into its power band.
Also the car is much more eager spin the tires if I pull the fuse, tying them open.
If five or six hp can't be felt, I'd say the NPP is worth much more than that.
According to the dyno they're worth 10 at the wheels.
Yeah, I like it .
Are you serious about spinning the tires??Your car should do that anyway...HAHAHA!!!! Also about the HP level 6HP is at the motor so you do the math about the HP level at the wheels...(15-18% drivetrain loss??) Maybe 3-4 at the wheels....

I think he is saying that it's got to be more power than that. . . .
