My qustion was if I install a K&N Filter only, will I have any HP boost and will I feel any difference in MPG. The resom I am asking because K&N clames so I wanted to know if it was true. Has anyone dyno with the K&N Filter. Thank for the post.

Great filters
Don't know dyno numbers, but I've used K&N on every car I've own, the one in my truck is been there for the past 152,000, still new with an occasional cleaning, I figured I've saved alot of money in air filters over the years. OH and it does get better milage.
I had one in my Yukon and couldn't tell any difference in MPG, but could tell a big difference in NOISE. It was awful. Absolutlye no difference in power gains either. On one trip I actually sucked the filter flat.(I was pulling a boat).Replaced the stock setup and am much happier.
Depends on the application and on how restrictive the intake system is. From what we have seen on the dyno for these cars not really. A clean paper filter will flow just as good as a K&N. The difference is as the paper gets dirty it starts flowing less while the K&N does not.
Little bit of both, I think. Not enough to feel or measure. BUT, clean them and save the cost of new paper filters. Over the long run it should save you money. AND, if you go to an oil change place, they NEVER EVER try to sell you their filters because " the filter looks a bit dirty". That alone is worth it!!

Although I have not ran them both on the same day in my bonestock C5Z, I have ran just as well if not better with the paper air filter. My first time in the 11's I had a K&N in. The next three times I had the paper filter. The K&N is easy to clean and may be more economical.
I added the K & N aircharger Intake .. My mpg went up about 1 mpg ,, I really couldnt tell the difference in power ,, A couple months after I Installed the vette Air ,, I could actually feel a lil more power ,, It has ups and downs ,, But One thing I noticed and liked ,, is the b4 the vette air ,, Under the hood and the intake would get hot as he?? , After the vette air ,, I can pop the hood and the intake is really cold from all the cold air ,,

Just the filter change to K&N is waste of money...no hp gains or mileage betterment.
Doing CAI or Air intake system will give some HP gains when car is moving but nothing on dyno
