500rpm idle?
07 A6, bone stock. This seems like a low idle and when put in drive, it almost dies while the power steering stops working. Dealer says this is "normal". What are your experiences and what is the fix?

i have had that problem a couple times it seems its weather and engine temp related at the first couple seconds off startup when going in reverse and turning or reverse and turning going forward it actually stalled a couple times

Make sure you don't have any leaks. Check all air lines and vacuum hoses. Beyond that I'm not sure what it could be..
