Default 1 3/4" or 1 7/8" Long Tubes

Hello Everyone,

I'm in the market to buy some headers and I know that most brands make them in these sizes. I am not planning on boosting my car (bad experience before in the past) but I do want to get new cams and other bolt-ons later this year. Currently all I have is an intake and exhaust on the LS3. Any ideas? I really want to purchase these soon.

Thanks for the help!

I think either will give good performance but seems that most dynos prove that the 1 3/4" might allow a tad more power down low in the curve. Might run a search.

I did but couldn't find anything on the setup I'm running. I found a lot of posts on FI but nothing with cams, and heads. Any other opinions?

i wouldn't worry about heads on a LS3. The ported heads that are out aren't really showing that much gains and show a loss down low....unless your goning FI or bigger ci

I am running 1 7/8" Kooks on my LS2 and have not changed the cam yet. No real lost of power down low but what a difference it makes in the mid and upper rpm.

My recommendation go with the 1 7/8" I am more then happy with my set-up.

Get the Lg Pro Tubes Long Headers from Lg Motorsports. They have a great fit and finish with no ground clearance issues. They will work great with the cam.

I will be installing a new cam by the end of summer on my LS3~!
