Default C6 mod's - opinions?

Just got my '07 a few weeks ago and wanting to play. Came loaded up well with everything (including Z51, A6 6-speed A/T) but want to get more performance and definitely more sound.

First phase of mod's I have planned:

Corsa Sport Exhaust (P/N 14167)
Callaway Honker C6 Intake (P/N 203.60.2500)

Any opinions or recommendations?

What about Phase 2? Chip/Tuner? Are they worth it? If so, what's the best to get? I'm familiar with the exhaust/intake mod since I did it on my C5.... but know nothing about the next step.

If you want to keep it simple and somewhat affordable, a set of 1 3/4" headers, CAI, and a tune. I would skip the Corsa for now. It's the same price as the headers but with little to no power increase. With the headers you will get 25+rwhp/tq and an aggresive sound as well. If it's not enough for you, then get the catback system.

Gears are an excellent mod and really wake the car up without effecting drivability. However that depends on your goals with the car.

My best advice is to thuroughly set out what you want out of your car. Have a plan. There's no sense throwing money at the car, not being happy with the results, and then throwing more money at it again to satisfy yourself.

For instance. A lot of mods benefit from a tune. So if you keep adding more and more mods every few months, you'll be paying to retune. Some tuners offer free or discounted tune updates but you'll have to work that out with your tuner. Having an A6 a tune is almost a must. It will definately increase your driving pleasure and with the above bolt ons you'll have a hell of a fast and reliable, daily driving street car. Good luck.

My only advice is know where you want to be when you finish with modding (BTW, that will never happen )

I started off the same why--corsa sports and a halltech intake. Then added dynatech headers and a tune. Then, heads and cam and a tune. Then a procharger D1SC and a tune. Then.......................

Have fun and lots of money

Do I really get that "growl" out of the headers?

Who would do a tune? A speed shop or what?

You guys have an opinion on getting a "chip" and tuning it myself? Good? Bad?
