Default C6DVL and the vacation

I'm not up on the details of Ed's vacation from the forum but I, as one of the targets of his off humor dont think the guy meant any disrespect. Ed strikes me as a guy that is always looking for humor in everything and personally I think we all need a guy like him in our lives.

While I disagree with people sometimes and go too far, I dont think Ed's strong opinions and humor were intended as anything but the kind of school humor you tossed out back in the day. Its a great quality to have someone rank on your once in a while to learn humility and take a hard look at yourself.

I only met him in person a few times but I like the guy and didnt know who to direct this message to so I post it here to voice my hope that moderators will reconsider the length of the suspension if it is in fact real and let the guy off with the knowledge that some didnt take it the way he intended. He's an adult and can make adjustments. I for one liked being the target of the 4.10 jokes as long as it was just a friendly nag to get a rise out of me. If you cant take it yourself let people know when they go over the line. I can take it and can deliver it just the same. Its adds a flavor all its own and livens things up.

I hope most feel the same as I do.

I thought some of that stuff was funny but then I've got "Joke Tourettes" so what do I know. People gotta lighten up life is crazy enough, enjoy your vettes, live well, laugh a lot and realize this ain't no dress rehearsal. OK, I'm done.....

I heard they gave him six months.

But if the above is an effort to get them to lighten his sentence,.......just a word of advice, but this might not be the place to do that without running the risk of joining him.

Might want to PM the moderators with your concern as opposed to starting what could be construed as a type of "Free C6DVL" thread.

C6Devil has a great sense of humor that I've always enjoyed. Not sure why he got a vacation, but I'd like to see it cut short. I'll miss his posts.

Yeah, I wasnt sure of who to PM but this isnt a pressure tactic but rather to rally a public opinion (assembly is a constitutional right even in private settings)....thats a joke on some level there.

I really just wanted people to know where I stood since some thoguht I was a target of his.

Appologies to moderators if this isnt ok to do.

and yes I too feel the same way.
While I do know about much of the jokings and gear discussions that have taken place I do not know the specifics of this latest scenario but either way I would never question the decisions of a moderator/administrator because their job of trying to maintain some order while remaining both fair and unbiased is not as easy one so I will assume that their decisions were made for a justifiable reason.

Im sure this whole thread will be locked down , but good for you Guy

Ed is gone for the next six months , his ban is to be lifted October 08) . I think alot of it has to do with the jokes we all make bettween each other that to the outside eye can seem hostile and over the top , unfortunatly some cannot see the humor in it and report it as hostility .

The admin and mods do not have the time ( nor can they be expected to with the volume of this forum ) to assess each invidual case , so joking can be misconstrued as an attack .

Just so we are all clear...........Moderators will not discuss why or who got what. If that member chooses to, that is their call…and so we all remember our rules:
