Default HUD wiring in 1LT

Does anyone have a picture of the special wiring harness that is needed to make the aftermarket install of the HUD work?

My understanding is it has 2 connectors and a number of wires hanging free.

Thx

Sorry, no pics but you described it exactly. The 'loose' wires get spliced into the IP cluster harness. BTW, all the parts needed for the harness can be purchased from a dealer if one wants to make their own

I have everything but the connection to the HUD. What I need is the pinout of the connections and where they go.

Do you know of a harness I can get at the dealer?

Thx

There is no 'harness' that you can by from a dealer. It has to be built, which I can do if interested. The parts needed can come from a dealer, the HUD switch connector, display connector and a bunch of terminals/pins for the display connector. Then they just need to be assembled and wired together. Send me a PM for the pinouts

Is the HUD now available from the dealer. If so, how much is it?

It is, but the dealer might not know it. It's not available to order from GM except for fire or theft victims. I discovered it can be ordered from our GM authorized Delphi-Delco radio, IP and instrumentation repair/service center. That's where we get all of the warranty exchange radios and IP clusters. The part number is 15934351 and the dealer will need to know it's being added to a vehicle that originally did not have a HUD, VIN and mileage. The price may vary from dealer to dealer and I don't want to guess.
