Default I like all stock but...

My new to me 05 C6 has Corsa's is all. I have been told that a Vararam intake will work nicely along with a tune. I don't want to do any more mods on the engine if I start sacrifincing things like mileage atc.

Will the tune change my great gas mileage for the better or worse? Is the intake mod worth while?

My Vette rocks my *** now so do I even need to do anything from all the stock lovers that can chime in?

Thanks

Dave

I never really noticed a mpg chance when i installed the vararam, but i did notice an improvement in power and that was without a tune.

I would tell you to go for the vararam and don`t look back. One of the best mods for the money.

I agree! When you do it, don't get freaked out, but you may hear it sucking air, kinda high pitched, but not that noticeable, partcilularly with mufflers

Even with new tires I can't hook up that well after a halltech stinger cold air intake and straight pipe. But MPG improved for sure. I think if the tune is done properly you can get better MPG.

You already have a high air flow exhaust.

Adding a cold air intake (CAI) like a Vararam will enable high air flow to get into you engine. It's all about air

Adding a tune, with a lower thermostat, will enable your engine to operate at its optimum.

Thus, your mileage will be better, along with performance and your 'smile' factor
