Won't turn over

Is there a starting problem with the C6. Battery won't hold a charge for the 4th time. Dealer says he needs a failure code before installing a new battery? Nice for $65K.

Not so much a starting problem as a load problem. In general a C6 will not start after sitting for anywhere between 3 & 4 weeks. Some members have gotten longer but not many. You do have a couple of options: 1) a new Optima battery, 2) a Priority Start unit which some members have had success with, 3) a maintenance battery charger such as the CTEK 800 or 3300. Personally I have gone with #3.

Good luck finding the solution best for you.

BTW, Corvettes are not the only cars that have these issues, every new Lamboughini & Ferrari now sold come with a CTEK charger....and they both cost more than our C6!

Dealer, not GM has stepped up to the plate and supplied a new battery. I've owned 13 C5-C6 Corvettes and the dealer has to make me whole with no help from GM! Sounds like they don't want me anymore,
