how do I remove the dash corner pillars?

how do I remove the dash corner pillars?
I am trying to run the V1 cord from the passeger side through the dash/door pillar and can't figure out how to pop this thing out...I have searched and can't find any explanation or photos. Is it a simply "yank"? I don't want to break anything on my new car but HAVE to HAVE my V1 in place.
I already have my concealed display mounted in the ashtray and my hardwire kit by the ECU...but I need the longer wire to feed through the pillar I am mentioning.
Any help will be appreciated - thanks!

A solid yank will do the trick with no breakage. I have done the same on my C5Z and my current C6 for gauge pods and a/f meters. Never had an issue.
Pull from the very top where the mirror swivels from and you will hear it begin to pop out of the clips.
No sweat.

as you get to the bottom where it meets the dash be careful as there is a plastic hook that can easily be broken.

all done with this...I did not have to remove the A pillar completely to get this done - the top part just snaps off....the bottom, I was not so sure - but I was able to feed a coat hanger with the wire in between and pull if from under the dash...
