Scraping in turns
This last weekend I went to the mountains of North Georgia (in my 08 Z06) with a bunch of fellow Corvette owners and had a blast, but on one road in particular the lower air dam (the one that is supposed to scrape) scraped on no less that 6 corners. These corners were fairly sharp and what you would call diving corners. What gets me is the car behind me (another C6 Z06) only scraped in one corner. After I started hearing the scraping I slowed down and did not scrape again, but I don't like to have to slow down, so is there anything I can do? The car is stock hight and, as of yet, the only mods are a Killer Bee and window tint... neither of which, in my opinion, contributed to the scraping

Because of the lowering bolts, not all cars come out at the same height. I have not lowered my car, yet when I am parked alongside other C6s my car is lower then the others. And my car is like yours as I scrape in hard turns. I got used to it and I don't slow down as the chin spoilers are fairly cheap.

I don't mind the parts that are meant to scrap getting scraped, I just don't want the front lip to scrape... I guess what I wanted to know was if there was a way I could prevent it... i.e. coil-overs or heavy duty anti-sway bars...
