For an A6 are Headers worth it?
Right now I currently have installed on my automatic C6 the Vararam CAI and have Borla stingers cat-back. I also plan to get a chuck cow tune at CI this year. Would it be worth it to get headers? Is there any other mod I should go instead? I really dont drag or race the car at all. I just use the car for cruising and passing on the highway.
Any input would be great.

You started freeing up the breathing by installing a CAI, now you really should top it by adding headers. I'm no authority, but if you get more air into the engine it only makes sense to allow it to escape. Headers allow for freer flowing exhaust that will improve the efficiency of your engine.
Absolutely, if you want increased performance and efficiency, you should get some headers.

You should eventually get both gears and headers. It's your choice which one is first. I believe Chuck or most tuners will give you a new tune for free if you get a tune with the first mod, and then need another one for the second. I'm saving up for gears.

Standard shift cars were cool, macho, FAST, and they were MENS CARS...for REAL MEN.
Historically, what self respecting MAN bought an AUTOMATIC VETTE??????
Well, you know...The guys that couldn't drive stick....or maybe the guy with a bum leg.....the poor guy that had to share the car with his wife....You know the type....
Certainly, most WOMEN bought AUTOMATICS.....They were "GIRL CARS"...easy to drive....smooth...and slow....

You change the break in oil....Head out to the highway....CROSS YOUR FINGERS AND STOMP THE PEDAL.......

1,850 rpms for 3.15's and 1,975 rpms for 3.42's

just remember...in a lot of states they are illegal ; your dealer may cause you problems if you bring your car in for service ; and recent posts on this forum point to the fact that except for midrange torque an LS7 exhaust manifold+headpipes with converters may provide you nearly the same HP for less than 1/2 the $.
