Default base suspension upgrades

I'm looking to improve the cornering on my 08 with a base suspension. I like the suspension to be fairly soft for drag racing and weigt transfer, but would also like to curve some corners. I just purchased a set of of z51 sway bars and was thinking about new shocks. what shocks would be a nice compromise for track and drag racing? I was thinking billstein or koni fsd. Does anybody know part#'s and a good place to purchase them?

Where did you get the sway bars. I am thinking of doing the same thing. Thanks. Sorry, I do not know of anywhere to get shocks from.

Kind of depends on how much you want to spend. You have a budget?

Erik - I haven't seen your C6 around Chino or Chino Hills. I hope to meet you soon. I also did the Z51 sway bars. I've read good things about the Bilsteins and Konis. Many CF Vendors carry them. Some CF members have purchased the Bilsteins off EBay for $300. Coilovers are an excellent mod, but more expensive.

I lost the OEM leaf springs and shocks and installed Phadt coilovers w/ poly bushings. The beauty of this set-up is that they are easily adjustable for different driving conditions.

The combination of the Z51 sway bars and the coilovers virtually eliminates that pitching from side to side during high speed turns felt with the base suspension.
