Question about Gas Cap

P0455 scan book says "Evaporative Emission Control System Leak Detected (gross leak)". Could this be the Gas Cap?

Well, it's been about an hour and no answer yet, so I'll give you what I would do. I'd reseat the gas cap, clear the code and go driving. If it comes back, look for something else.......

Could be the gas cap...

My c5 had a similar issue and it turned out to be a leak in the EVAP line between the two fuel tanks.

It was hard to find but once it was found it was fixed under warranty.
