05 c6 grinding noise

05 c6 grinding noise

my car has a grinding feel when it is cold when i first pull it out of garage from overnight, feels almost like the brakes were down to rotors grinding, but it is there when i pull away and drive,no change in noise when i apply brakes(so i don,t think it is them?) then it goes away after about a mile i only have 10,000 miles on it any clues??

Do a search on this forum using "rear clunking noise" as your search terms and you will find plenty of information on this issue, even recommendations for a cure.

My grinding went away after diff oil change under warranty...

I had a similar experience and the dealer changed the rear end fluid under warranty and no problem since. There is a service bulletin out on this I think.
