Urgent! Please Help.
ok, i just bought NGK TR55IX iridium spark plugs from the auto zone. the problem is that all of them have .056-.057 gap???
i thought for CORVETTE ITS SUPPOSE TO BE .044 JUST LIKE THEY HAVE ADVERTISED IN MARYLANDSPEED.COM
what should i do? return it or thats how its suppose to be?

A given part number spark plug is made for many cars - not just your vette. You have to gap them for your application. Buy a gapping tool from from Auto Zone and gap them yourself.
It's normal.

i thought iradium came pre-gapped. but i just went running and bought me a gap-mesurer to gap them. so, what should i gap them to?

Several sites sell the same PT#'s we do for all LSx engines. I think the assumption is that you will gap them. I actually did not gap them for my GTO, and they work fine.

First you should always check the gap on plugs before installing them; I have seen quite a variance in plug gap from plugs in the same box.
There are a few threads that cover those very plugs, the gap range is between .060 and .040.

i gap my NGK TR 6's at .045. It's a N/A motor. It it were blown they'ed be gaped at .035

you guys are outstanding!!! i am going with .041. why? its simple. all the web-site that sells the same spaskplugs says the gap should be .044. but corvette sparkplugs came with .040. so, just wanna be in-between.
