Default TPMS 2006 vs 2008

I recently purchased wheels from a 2008 for my 2006. Wondering if the 2006 TPMS will work in the 2008 wheels. Also do you need a special tool to set the sensors for a 2006 like you do for a 2008?

I would think they would. I don't see why they would not.

All C6 Vettes from 2005 through 2008 use the exact same sensor, and I'm almost positive that the 2009 will use the same one also.

I assume your new wheels came with the tires and sensors already mounted up so, yes, you need a tool to register the new sensors with the TPMS computer in the car after you swap wheels.

If you're swapping the sensors out of your old wheels into the new ones, and you keep them on the same corner of the car they were on before then, no, you won't need to do a relearn because their ID#'s are already registered into the TPMS memory.
