Default Check engine lamp

Recently installed kooks headers, high flow cat.s with Corsa exhaust. Now after drivng it I recieved a check engine lamp. Is there a way to clear that out by using the buttons on the dash. Is anyone else having this issue?

It is a common issue with LT headers. The cats do not get hot enough and the rear O2 sensors sense this condition. Some have had good luck with Jet Hot coating or wrapping the headers. Others get their tuner to turn off the sensing for the rear O2 sensors.

And, no you cannot turn off the CEL from the DIC like you could on the C5. You need a code reader that is CAN bus enabled. (Useful tool to have around).

John is correct. I'd like to add that mine are gel coated and I still got an O2 sensor code on both banks. I've erased the codes 3x with my reader and after approx 30 miles, the codes return. I guess I'll have to look for a tuner.
