I went with a Sears Platinum. 34/78 if memory serves. Sears doesn't show this as a fit but it worked great. If you do a search I made a post back in December about this.
You can buy 4 or 5 batteries from Wal Mart for the price of the Optima Yellow. I have used Wal Mart batteries for years and have gotten an average of 8 to 9 years of use out of each one. Never once had an early failure, but thats just me. If money is not a consideration, then go with the Optima. Nice color and it's like the $200 pair of jeans.... everyone will go ooouu and aahhh.
Dead Delco battery replacement for C6 (Long Story)
Spent a LOT of time surfing the forums trying to get some good advise about a replacement battery for my '07 C6 little crap Delco (590 CCA) that died and wouldn't hold a charge at 500 miles! This is a very common problem with these cars if not driven on a regular basis.
Seems the Optima was the 1st choice so I went after the often recommended Model 34/78 with 800 CCA ($159.95 @ Auto Zone) which happens to have the posts on the wrong side.
I believe you could put it in backwards and use the original length cables but the Optima posts are about 1" taller than OEM and that would put the neg. terminal back under a metal firewall brace. Didn't like that.
Next was the 1/2" shorter length Optima Model 75/25 with 720 CCA ($139.95 @ Auto Zone) but the posts are also on the wrong side. This is also 1" taller than OEM. Same installation concern as above.
Next was the Optima Model 35 with 720 CCA ($149.95 @ Auto Zone) and the posts are on the correct side! As I was paying for the battery the store manager walked by and asked what I was putting it in. "C6 Vette." He said "Don't do it, it's a vented battery and the computer is directly underneath the battery." I didn't buy it and went home and called Optima/Johnson Controls (who used to make the DieHards for Sears) and was told the same thing. "They do not make a battery for the C6."
Next trip was to Sears for a DieHard. Same story as above. They do not make a battery for the C6. All they have are vented batteries.

Anybody heard any good jokes lately?
I have the EverStart 47-3 (700/595)from Wal-Mart in my 07. It is a very good fit and has an excellent warranty....about $51. I have used Wal-Mart batteries for years in many different cars and get 8-9 years before they go to the battery grave yard. When I went to the local Auto Zone to inquire about the Optima, I was told by the store manager that they did not recommend them because of customer complaints/returns. The Optima seems to be a status symbol of sorts among some forum members, but my car starts and runs just like theirs' and I would rather spend the extra bucks on something else.
My 2 cents
