Well finally took the car out for the first time. 07 C6 has G5x3 cam, callaway honker, LG Z06 headers, no cats, and Z06 bullets. I had drag radials on the first time ever also. I have never done a burnout so all I did the first time out was a light spin to clear off the water and debris. Next time I will do a burnout once I learn how to. Didn't want to make a fool of myself trying for the first time in front of everyone. My launches started out from a normal start to a 2000, 2500, 3000, and 3500 launch. Didn't have time to try much higher and I didn't want to break anything the first time. I will go higher next time b/c I bogged all those times. Here was my best time. I don't think it is too bad for the first time. I know I can hit 11's with a little practice. How far in the 11's do you think I can reach?
Excellent for your first time out! You're doing great.
See my best time in sig, we've got similar mods.
I launch at 5000 or so, and walk the clutch out until hooked, then I go WOT. I don't powershift. I need to keep the revs above 4500 during launch or I will bog as you noted. The clutch will take it but you have to stay on top of clutch fluid changes.
Wait, you have z06 headers/exhaust on your c6? I am confused? Did you have these modified to fit on your car?
Anyways, with the cam and bolt ons on your c6 I think you could get your times down to 11.4-11.5. If you work on your launch and can get it down to 1.6ish, you will be running a lot better. The launch seems to be the hardest part. I took my bone stock c6 out to the track and had a hard time with the launch (Although I was also on stock run flats... OWNED).
I am looking to do a similar setup on my car within a year. How do you like the G5x3 cam on the vette? How is drivability? Is your car your DD? Same question to you Joe as well!
It is my daily driver. Very docile, idles 750, always starts, never dies. The tune is key. I bought a mail order tune from Charlie @ RPM motors and tweaked it quite a bit myself with HP Tuners.
I recommend raising compression via thinner head gasket to keep low end power up.
Here's my big write up with dyno sheets and videos and comments.

It is my daily driver. I love it to death. Sounds mean as hell.
Yea I have aftermarket LG Z06 headers that runs 3" inches all the way back to my Z06 Bullets on my C6. When I went to LG they told me they can do that on C6's. I told them to go ahead and do it. Don't think they had modify anything but use a different reducer/coupler/or whatever you want to call it. I talked to Anthony at LG. He can tell ya all about it.
Thanks for all the advice. If anyone has more let me know.
Looked at my clutch fluid. Stuff was pitch black. Did as instructed and cleaned it. Looks much better. Thanks for all the help. I will keep an eye on this more often as well as keeping my clutch cleaning kit in the car.
Car felt good going down. I had my cutouts opened. Next time I am going to run with them closed since that is what the car was tuned with. I feel my car is pepier(not sure if that is a word) when they are closed. I didn't let off at all. Once I had it off the start, I was ***** to the walls and shifting. Just need to learn how to do a burnout and do a higher launch and hopefully I will be in the 11's.
One question I forgot to ask. At what RMP's are people with my similar mods shifting?
