Park Switch
I assume there is a micro switch on the shift selector that senses car in Park. Is there an adjustment on the switch? Mine occassionally has to be jiggled to assure the car is in park.
I had a recent battery event that I suspect was a result of the switch not being made. After charging no problem.

Auto trans selector is electronic
My understanding is there is no mechanical linkage to the transimission and therefore would be no such switch. You can hear when the electronics shuts down after turning off the engine, after a while. This will occur when left in park via the electronic control module. You might search on dead battery" as there have been numerous discussions about this.
