I recently purchased my car and have been trying to get it state inspected. However, when the techs hook up their machines to my OBD, it is not reading it. I have had three different shops try it. for some reason, there is no signal being sent. I have checked every fuse I can find, but everything is good.
One guy was able to by pass it somehow and was able to identify that my SES light is on due to my car running lean. My car has headers and an X pipe...will that be causing it to lean out?
I will be adding stingers this week and want to get it tuned by Texas Speed, but I need to figure out my OBD II problem before they will be able to tune it.

Any help is appreciated...

The original owner most likely had it tuned. The tuner "locked" the VCM and probably deleted the SES code for the rear oxygen sensors. The guys at Texas Speed should be able to see if the VCM is really locked and then advise you.
