I vaguely remember doing these on my f-body a long time ago. What all is involved to replace the stockers with braided lines? While I'm at it, how much fluid will I need to do a full flush? Castrol SRF still the best out there?
First off, I think the braided steel brake lines are a waste of time. I decided to install them when I had my calipers powdercoated but it made the job three times more difficult.
You can't really see them and there is no difference in pedal feel once they are on.
I used the $12 1 liter ATE Super Blue / Amber high temp brake fluid to do the brake line / caliper swap and it was plenty.
I use the ss lines in my other car and it gives a much firmer pedal feel (this is also from experience in the roadcourse tracks). Haven't changed the vette lines yet, but should give the same result.

it was easy I got the brake bleeder from ZIP PRODUCTS $55.00 and did it myself in a couple of hours sucked the tank out before I started put fluid in and ran enuff through to flush and there is a big difference in pedal feel and at high temps they will not expand like the rubber will{mushy pedal feel}
