I received my second green filter and green recharge kit from Vararam yesterday. Does the filter come already preoiled or do I have to oil it? I don't want to over oil it if it has been done already.
And by the way, using the pressure washer to clean my old filter did not work as well as I had hoped. Lots of little pin holes on the top of the filter. I tried.

They specifically say in the instructions to NOT use high pressure when cleaning these mesh/gauze type filters.

I saw that in the instructions I just received with the green recharge kit. Yes, both you and they are correct. Now back to my original question, does the new filter come pre-oiled???

When the man with the time of 10.927 @ 123.63 1/4 speaks, I listen!
Did I tell you how much I enjoyed that video?
Why don't you use the oil?? And more importantly, how often do you clean your filter.
I just pulled mine out at 1200 miles to replace it with the new filter and I couldn't believe how much grit and sand was there in that short period. I also pulled out a pebble/small rock from the filter. Scary.

Nearly 80 degree temps, barometer in the 29.xx range and still amazing results.
I dont oil my filters for the VR. Any amount of oil on there will cause somewhat a restriction. It also wouldnt take much oil film to upset the MAF sensor calibration. I know VR suggests a light coating of oil in their
replacements & after cleaning. I would just rinse it off under the sink, let it dry and replace it. Just my opinion.

And I appreciate your opinion. Obviously, it works for Dennis. Thanks for the video Dennis. Makes me want to try that myself!
I would think the oil would capture smaller particles than a dry filter. I also think a dirty filter would be a restriction and I am finding the filter gets very dirty, very quickly. I will attempt to clean my filter no later than 2000 miles or so. To simplify the cleaning process, I will order a spare filter so I don't have to wait overnight for it to dry.
Anyone else out there that does not use oil on their green filter??
