Personally, I like it if the car has the factory manifolds and cats, but it's very loud with longtube headers.

Below is a video of a car with the Extreme system and the factory manifolds/cats.

Default Xtreme's

I would install them if your not going to have any other mods. They "do" drone with headers on my A6. I took a long trip and had to keep above the 1500- 1600 rpm level. I still like them, but probably would have kept my Sports if I had to do it over. My 2 cents !

Just a quick question? Are those mufflers "rectangular" in size like the Sports? My Xtremes are "round" and definately smaller than the Sports I removed! Maybe it's just the angle in the video!

Just took them off my car. Too loud with the Kooks headers. My buddies said I'm crazy, sounded great. I have a set, perfect condition, 750 miles on them, if anyone is interested. PM me.

I was just made aware that these were a set of prototypes and that the version released to the general public looks like the image below:

Default Xtremes

Mine are also "round" and much smaller than the rectangular photo. Maybe that is why they are so loud ! Thanks for clearing up the mystery. To each his own ! I had the car out today and they sounded awsome ! I guess I'll put up with a little drone!

Mine are like the above. The ones below don't seem to have the Xtreme logo on them either.

I spoke to Corsa today and the set I posted was one of the first "prototype" sets they sent to us, but all of the production systems should be like the round ones I posted even though they don't say "Extreme".

Did they tell you if there is much difference between the prototype and the final version?
