Default Question on Magnaflow's

I love the sound of my Magnaflow's. I was told that there really is not any HP increase with Magnaflow's. Any test results I can look up? Thanks in advance

Magna Flow has data on their website, but I beleive it is equal to the margin of error of the dyno...

There isn't any real hp increase with any of the exhaust systems. Basically for the sound and not much else.

I bought Magnaflows for my 05 when I first bought the car because I love the sound. I should have put the $ towards LT headers instead. That will help with sound too!

Same here. If I could do it all over again, I'd skip the mufflers and go straight for headers instead. They cost pretty much the same, but the headers will give you some sound AND a good power boost.

American Racing Headers are next. Have to wait awhile - supercharger was put on this month and wife doesn't know what that cost. All I told her was I put a new intake. I purchased A&A's Vortex "stealth" unit and it really doesn't make much noise. Wife did notice a change but was not overpowering. I think (know) the headers will add more noise.

Here is what I would do. Start shopping for exhaust and complain to her that all these nice systems are $1200 and up. Then say you will settle for a $400 used set of Z06 mufflers. Then the headers and M2W just magically appear on the car.

FYI, B&B headers bolt right up to the MaganFlow catback and it really sounds great!
