ok, i have FAST intake, Vararam, X-pipe, Magnoflow, Headers, and all of these bolt ons not only increase HP, but gas milage too. thats why i got them. i average 33+ MPG at 65mph.

have you tried HHO? google it to see what it is i have put it in my cavalier to test it out, i will post the results when i have a solid data to back it up.

just remember, don't use the instant mileage as an indicator, unless it's sustained mileage.

i've seen 70 mpg at every speed.

imo, the trick to better mileage is to feather the throttle as much as possible. get her to just coast along, barely press into the throttle (to bump her back up), lift (the same amount you pressed) and hold, let her coast along, repeat as needed.

I've had three C6s. The only time I got 30 was on a long stretch at 60mph. I honestly have trouble believing anyone is getting 30 at 70 mph or greater. I've run all three of the C6's at a constant 70mph on flat highway for a stretch of 20 miles with the cruise control on. The best I ever did at that speed was under 28.

Thanks
On my maiden voyage home from the factory, I was getting about 29 mpg... now that it's loosened up some... I have no doubt it can do 30 mpg or better.. not to mention that I was 70+ mph on its first voyage..
Capable of embarassing many V6's and some I4's in fuel economy.. My 07 G35 was only able to get about 24 hwy..

The only thing that bothers me is the people that say we're lying because there's no way 400+ HP cars can get that kind of MPG. I say welcome to the 21st century where the Corvette is the best economy car in the world.
Amen Brother! I had this guy on youtube that basically called me a liar because I said my car still gets 28mpg highway with over 470RWHP. He went on and on about how stupid I must think people are to believe that but its the truth. I finally blocked him but it was annoying having someone question my integrity. What do I have to lie about?

It's people like that who don't know anything about the C6 and think it is not possible to make good gas mileage in a V8.

Just last weekend I saw 33 MPG @ 75 MPH on the freeway. I was really surprised. Had the cruise control on for 20 miles. Not bad for a cam and headers car.

Thanks
Just got back from a trip from North Jersey to Saranac Lake, NY....just under 300 miles each way, most of it on the NY State Thruway. Cruising at 70/75 most of the time, actual fuel mileage based on true gallons refueled & not the DIC, was 28.9 mpg. If I had backed down to 60/65, no question it would have been 30+.

Some people think they are the answer to all questions in the world and can never be wrong! Maybe they should focus their efforts on world peace or curing cancer and leave us car folks alone!
