Some members are tired of the water in the pocket after a wash job, around the tail lights.
So they are clear caulking around the installed lenses. Quick easy fix.
Now what brand of clear caulk do you think would be best, or if your car is white. Would just regular white work? I suggest they sell the car!
You can get rubber door seals (like weatherstripping) from Lowes for about $2.00, that fit perfectly. It's the same type of seal sold by Southern Car Parts. There is a flat side with double stick tape, and the other side is raised slightly.... (it looks like the letter P). Take the lens out, run a strip of the seal around it, put the light back in, and you're water tight.

Craigster05, Just clowning, had to when, Yes, a member out there, caulked his lenses. Personally I stick the corner of my Absorber towel in under the lense after a wash works great! No need for anything for me.
but if they caulk the lense while it's on the car. They should be declared
brain dead and commited for 1 day, then be never allowed to touch one again.
...caulking...jeez what a maroon
After some serious thinking about this subject, I've come to the conclusion that I'll have cereal for breakfast. snap, crackle, pop
You can blow it out with an air hose, towel corner or just not worry about it.
Hey Craig, are you making the trip with Spin next week ?
I'd really like to, and I am planning on it. Hopefully we'll finish my car by Wed and I'll be able to play the role of Igor to Dr Frankenstein while he works.

Never. Use Caulking. ) A leaf blower or an air hose is a must only to get water out from everywhere . There is the towel deal you can do with the drips around the tail lights also.
Don't ever use caulking on your Vette especially on the body panels.
Very tackey. Sorry that's my opnion.

I just finished using my 215 mph Toro and it worked great. I see no reason not to use it.

Okay you're right, I use a leaf blower and an air hose too and would'nt do it any other way . I forgot a word in my post.
I better pay attenition when I'm typing.
I was told to use an electric blower, not a gas blower. I don't understand why since the exhaust from my gas blower does not go into the hi-velocity airstream. Anyone have a reason that I should not use my gas blower? I appreciate any input.
