It means that the active handling system recorded an error when that car was driving. It could be as simple as a split second loss of communication with one of the sensors or something more involved.
I would say if it only came on once then went away, I wouldn't worry about it. If you keep getting the message or it stays on all the time, a trip to the dealer is needed for the warranty repair.

same thing happened to mine. Took it to the dealer because it kept coming back about once a month or so and it turned out to be a loose wire in the active handling circuit. Might be worth it to check it out.
If I had a dollar everytime it came up on my DIC I'ed be very rich. As long as you don't go into the reduced power mode, then it's just the sensors being sensors. Call it a clich. As soon as you shut it off and restart it's gone. If not then you need to have it looked at. Also if you notice, it usually comes on when you're only moving very slowly or backing up. At least that's when mine comes on. Once when it came on I drove to the dealer left it running so it wouldn't reset had a scanner put ot it, and it read no codes, nothing. There you go.
I thought I just read somewhere on here where someone has had that messege and they ignored it. After a while it came back on when they were driving and the car just locked up or something like that. I swear I just read that last week. They said it was like a tire blowing out.
^ yea that was from a story from 2005 - someone was driving in the desert or somewhere and they got in an accident - warned everyone not to ignore it...
as for, ive had it happen about 1/2 dozen times, but it usually went into reduced engine power (cant drive car like that)
after the deal fixing something in the wheel, then replacing the ECU and finally replacing the gas pedal (said the potentiometer was defective) it hasnt come back in a few thousand miles... i feel pretty sure that it was the gas pedal that fixed it.
