Bolt On Packages?
Hello,
Just picked up a black 05 6 speed with 14k miles and it needs more power. Unfortunately I am located 5200' above sea level and in the hot weather, we lose quite a bit of power up here. I basically want to do a good bolt on package and maybe down the road upgrade the heads, cam, intake and long tubes. Can anyone suggest a good bolt on package? I was thinking cold air, liven up the exhaust a bit. What about one of the handheld tuners? I have been searching and will continue reading also.

If you want a real noticable difference, check out Andy's Vortech kit. At ~$5300 it's the best SC deal going at the moment.
That would definitely get you over the elevation handicap. There are also really great procharger kits and the infamous ECS kit.
You other options would be some good headers, CAI, and a good cam job. The Headers, X-pipe, and CAI will cost you around 3k installed. The cam another $1500+.
Regardless of what you choose, I'm sure you'll be quite happy with the upgradibility of your new C6!!

I recommend a CAI, a low temp stat, ported Throttle Body and a high-air-flow exhaust to boost performance for starters. Add headers for a noticeable gain in power. Switch-out your stock intake for a ported FAST intake for even better air flow and power. And to get the most out of it all (and to get rid of the error codes) have it tuned by someone who knows what they're doing
