Default CARTEK ***CHANGES and SPECIAL***

We are excited to announce that Cartek is now a 100% family owned business. As of June 6th, 2008 Dave Busch is no longer with Cartek Racing Inc. Sales and management are now run by Julian Hormilla and Maxwell Hormilla. Engine packages, power adder setups, tuning, and engine assembly still remains in Julio Hormilla’s hands as it has always been, so we can still expect the same high level of performance and reliability Cartek has become known for.

In celebration of this milestone in Cartek history we are going to be running a Heads and Cam special. On any stage of Cartek Heads and Cam package sold there will be a $250 discount. Also we will be offering an additional $250 discount off the install bringing your total savings to $500 on any stage of Cartek Heads and cam installed at Cartek. The sale will be running from now until July 11th, 2008.

For any inquiries we can be reached via PM or direct by phone at the shop.

Thanks,
Maxwell Hormilla

I am both happy and sad (the loss of Dave) for you guys.

Working with family can be tuff sometimes but you have a great bunch of trustworthy and dependable guys there. No doubt quality and performance will still remain of the highest caliber. Now when will the new website be up?

What happened to Dave? (pm if you wish)

Maybe just me - but a bit odd to celebrate the departure of a colleague in this fashion.

Not necessarily celebrating anyone's departure, I would look at it as more of a recognition of great new beginnings for an already well known and well respected Corvette (among other GM LSx vehicles) tuning company.

Either way that is an AMAZING deal, good news Max.

I don't think it is a celebration, but rather an incentive to show they are still going to be there for the LS community....sometimes many rumors fly during a change such as this, it is actually a nice way to say "Hey, we are still here, you can depend on us" while benefitting the consumer.

Good Luck guys, and I hope everything is OK with Dave as well in whatever his new direction is.

It just would have read a lot "nicer" simply omitting the second sentence (which added nothing anyway). Sorry to be such a wordsmith on this.

Very soon, they're working on it as we speak actually. The current one was adequate but was certainly in need of some attention.
The new website will be quite the professionally arranged set up and will help take the shop to that next level.

I'd agree, and I know nothing about the company or personnel. The second sentence didn't add any value to the post.

Well that could very well be part of the confusion or issue that some might be having with this.
Be it on these (and all other) boards or at the various race tracks around the nation, anyone who is familiar with Cartek Racing (and it's many illustrious years in making our cars MUCH faster) also knows that it has always been associated with two central characters known as Julio and Dave. That has now changed and it is clearly imperative that this information/update be presented to the Corvette/LSx racing community at this time.

I personally welcome how Max has been honest and up front in providing this information and I also appreciate the fine heads and cam sale that Cartek Racing is offering.

It was adequate, I was just busting *****.:o I have seen on a few posts here and there where some people couldn't find some of their parts or services mentioned on the site. God forbid they make a phone call to them. I just felt that with their level of workmanship, the website doesn't do them justice.

So Marc does that mean you'll be going after the Internal Mods fastest time soon?

Ok no sense in getting the thread locked. The majority of my correspondence with Cartek was thru Dave and Max. Both of which treated me very well and I have zero complaints about either. If anyone did/does have an issue with Dave that point seems moot as he is no longer affiliated with Cartek. I don't have the details as to what happened, and it's none of my business. All we need to focus on is the future of Cartek. And with the core of their business still intact I see only good things for them and us.

Best of luck to all.
