Search for Ranger's posts about changing out the clutch fluid. It gets hot and degrades causing this issue. If caught early enough regular fluid changes will restore it's function. If yours is that bad then you'll need to do several fluid swaps in succession to start.

Yep, change the fluid. Another possibility is the clutch pedal return / assist spring. Sometimes these things get wedged or break. If a greasy peice of wire falls on your foot sometime soon that'll be the spring (or usually half of it).

Same thing happened to me, though I have 545 RWHP, it turned out when I was doing "burnouts" I glazed the S**T out of the clutch.... a month later after doing a hard shift, thing stuck straight to the floor, actually had to use my foot to lift it back up.

Time for a new clutch

I broke that spring too, but the pedal did not stick to the floor without the spring, I didnt even know it was broken until the Vette Doctors pointed it out!

That spring actually helps push the clutch pedal down. You don't even need it.
