if I keep getting the same code and there is not a problem detected for repair, Can the computer be programmed to ignore it so the DIC wont come on next time it appears to the computer?

I'm no expert but from what I've been told the short answer is: Yes.
The question then becomes is doing such a thing really a good idea because if there really does become a problem you won't know until something stops working or blows up!
I think more information from you on your problem would help get an honest consensus on the subject.
