I brought my c6 to a GM dealer to reprogram my fobs I have 2 that you can change the options and one that you cannot. The one that you can't change I wanted the dealer to change it from MPH to KLMS per hr. The guy played with them for one hour and a half He cleared them and reloaded them 4 times and ended out doing nothing any different to them. They were the same as they were before. for some reason he fried my BCM. After 9 days without my car they are putting in a new BCM. With of the cost of the labour for the week and finding out the BCM was fried just by coincidence of course, I got a bill for $2500.00 I need to find some information somewhere that if you load fobs or do something wrong loading them this could fry the BCM
First, the dealer should know that the only fobs that have parameters that can be recalled are driver 1 and driver 2 the 3rd and 4th fobs cannot be programmed to have such parameters.
Second, if the dealer 'fried' the BCM, the dealer should replace what he broke. EOS
Third, The BCM (if I am looking at the right part) can be had from Gene Culley at GMPartsHouse.com for $207 and change.

You won't find any such information. You cannot 'fry' the BCM by going through the fob programming.
