Default Best Launch for a A6?

Hi guys, I also posted this in the drag racing section but thought I might get more response in the tech section.

I have a C6 A6 with a Vortech supercharger which puts out about 500rwhp. I am running 275/40-17 Nitto 555 drag radials. Can someone tell me what is the best launching rpm?

Should I leave the line at ldle, load it at 1000 rpm or higher? I have stock stall. Thanks

My best times were from stalling it to ~1600rpms after a good burnout.

My best launches have been between 1000-1200 rpm. I've found that any less RPM and I bog and any more the TM cuts in and screws me big time. If you can roll into it,that's argueably the best of all launch techniques.
However, you have to be very patient and willing to lengthen your RT.
This method is supposed to trick the TM. I've tried many times to do this, but,I'm just too anxious to try to get a good light.
Sorry Dennis.

Did you have a tune on your car. I think my TM is either turned off or moved so far away that it does not come into it.

csun213id you have a tune on your car. I think my TM is either turned off or moved so far away that it does not come into it.
Even with a tune, the TM raises it's ugly head. It's just less obtrusive. You can check this out and it works like this. You run your car 5 times. The C6 will run 4 times within .04 seconds or less , but one out of the five will drop .1 to .15 seconds out of the blue. I've seen this happen with all kinds of C6's, tuned, moded and also completely stock. You just hope that this bum run is either during your time trials, or the other guy red lights. I've kept a record of all my trips since I got my 06. Drives me nuts!

Everyone I know has told me that it's not completely gone. Just extremely diminsihed. However, a good tune will do this...but it can & sometimes still raise it's ugly head. I'd love to say I'm wrong, because I'd go out and get another tune.
