It's most likely that. The dealer should do a reflush and it will hopefully solve the issue. However some members have stated that it comes back after awhile. There is a slip-lock additive from Amsoil that supposedly gets rid of the issue. However since it's under warranty, and if you don't mind the dealer touching your C6, have them do their work first.

Sounds like you need the new fluid for the rear diff. The new fluid came out in January, 2008, and the revised service bulletin can be found here http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show....php?t=1917169
I had mine done last week, and it took care of the noise so far. As I understand it, there is no real damage being done when it is making noise, it is just annoying. But so far the new fluid has taken the noise away
