Advice on air induction
Im sure there are plenty of opinions on this subject and they are all welcome! Any advice on a system for an 08 manual, with Z51? I did have a Halltech on a previous 01 A/T but see some others out there that look interesting. I'd appreciate hearing about your experience with regard to actual HP gains. Thanks

I'd recently installed the Vararam CAI on my 08 C6 Manual Z51. I'm quite pleased with the SOTP performance, but have not done any formal measurements (this type of system is not fully appreciated by a Dyno due to lack of movement). The general concensus from the track goers is that the Vararam is good for 4 tenths in the quarter, which works out to approximately 40 HP. Anyone gone from a Halltech or K&N style aftermarket type air intake and then changed over to a Vararam?
For those who have done that, what was the difference in performance?
Was the Vararam a night and day noticeable difference over the other style?
Or was it slightly better?
Please describe the difference if you changed over to the Vararam after having the other style on there please.
