Default Need help with front widebody conversion

I got my car and parts back from paint yesterday and tonight got it up on stands:

When I tried to fit the front fenders, I found a "nipple" looking piece on top of the headlight and a bracket on the bottom of the fender that need to occupy the same space in order to fit properly:

What do I need to do to make this fit? Drill a hole in the fender bracket? Why wouldn't they come with a hole if one was needed?

No, the front of the car is not orange, the flash has made the picture color change
