Default Something let go in the 08

Well guys it was a nice day out and was riding with the top off and all of a sudden the car leaves me on the side of the road. I turned on to the main road and had to get up to speed so i got on it in first gear when it hit 3500rpms the car just stoped pulling and free reved all the way to redline so i let off and the shifter will go into each gear but does nothing like its out of gear. the car made no noises when it happeded, the rear is fine, and the clutch hasn't been slipping or acting funny on star had it towed to a dealer and im just hoping theyll warranty it, but if they dont i know a dealer that will. Any ideas on what happened guys....clutch maybe ????even though it was completely fine till then?

My friend used to work at a Chevy dealership. He said told me to "Watch out. I've seen new Vette's lose reverse. You can put it in gear but the car just revs and doesn't go anywhere." Looks like you have the same problem but in every gear.

Sorry I can't tell you WHAT the problem is, but maybe it may be comforting (to you) to know that it's happened to others in the past.

Broken T/o bearing or a clutch disk failure would be my guess, although the latter would be noisy. A more remote possibility would be that something let go in the tranny.

That sucks! I hope it all works out for you and it's an isolated incident.

Sorry to hear this... I hope you get her up and driving soon. I hope you don't have to pay for it, at least you know that other dealer. Everything should work out just fine. Good luck to you
