Default LS3 X-Pipe??

So, is the LS3 "x-pipe" truly and x-pipe and not an H-pipe? The reason that I ask, is because I just installed some Stingers and thought that the decel popping wouldn't be so noticeable, since the mid section on the LS3 looks to be an x-pipe. Am I totally wrong on this theory? Will the Borla x-pipe remedy the decel popping?

Yes the 08 LS3 uses a true x-pipe. It actually looks like a fairly nice piece however I dont think it will solve your decel pop issue as when my buddies 08 was stock with the NPP exhaust it popped like CRAZY on decel and during shifts.
Whats weird is I know generally with the C5's guys bought an x-pipe to reduce the pop, but all I know is his car popped like crazy stock. When I installed NPP on my 05 I was gonna use his 08 x-pipe and ended up deciding its not a big deal. The car sounds identical to how his 08 LS3 sounded with the x-pipe. I wouldn't worry about it much.

Ive got the NPP on my 08 and get alot of popping on decel. Going to switch to a kooks xpipe next week, Ill let you know if it changes anything. I am not a big fan as to me it sounds like a poorly tuned car.

Thanks. I would be interested to see if the kooks makes any difference.

I just finished the Kooks install and things only get worse as far as the popping goes.

Can't agree more had Corsa extremes on 07 mn6 couldn't stand the popping on decel. SOUNDS LIKE A DUMP TRUCK.

I wouldn't go that far. At least not with the Borlas. It's not really that bad, I just thought that an aftermarket x-pipe would reduce it a little. I just don't want to waste money if it doesn't really help.

The Corsa Sport exhaust with American Racing headers and high flow cat X pipe does not pop and does not drone. It is very close to a perfect setup.

I had the borla x pipe on my 08 with the stingers and it still popped like crazy on deceleration. One thing to consider is that if you plan on adding headers down the road, you will not be able to use the Borla X pipe. I would save the cash and put it towards headers.

Haven't heard it exacltly in your setup, but the TUBI in my Ferrari has a great rumble with some popping on decel. Is there an aftermarket for the C-6 that sounds great, not annoying, as some of you have indicated?
Thanks
