Hello everyone. I'm about to purchase an 05 a6 black coupe with 17000 miles on it. I plan on modifying this car with the following.
Catback of my choice
Off road x pipe
Vengeance racing cam (think it specs out around 595/608 on a 112 lsa
125 shot of spray
Set of drag radials for the track.
Could this car go 10's at 662 feet above sea level?
Also, they are asking 33000 for the car, does that sound like a decent price from a dealer? I'm gonna try and get it cheaper, but I really want the car and will probably pay 33000 unless it's a terrible price. And how would the stock fuel system be at this level. I'd think that the car would put down somewhere close to 520-550 depending on the tune or am I way off on that?

it should see 10s with the spray. it should see 10s with a cam, or it could see tens with bolt/ons. 05 had a4 m6 no a6
i didnt see headers, or tune on the list. i think you might see 550 at the wheels on the spray with longtubes and a good tune. with a stock converter though, im going to be the pessimist here and say with a good driver it would go 11.0 @ 124

Hey friend, I think the price is on the fair side. I just bought an 05 C6 M6 3LT with 6,000 miles for $34,000 which at the time was $2k under KBB suggested retail.
Since yours has 17,000 miles, $33,000 is not an extreme steal, but it's more or less fair in my opinion since it is also $2K under KBB suggested retail. I think the basic model retail value on KBB is $35,000 with price already adjusted for the milage and auto transmission (assuming basic options). I looked it up for you: http://www.kbb.com/KBB/UsedCars/Pric...504%7C0%7C0%7C
I saw cheaper C6s in the upper $20's and super low $30s but they had over 40k to 60K miles!
Thanks guys. Just waiting on the dealership to call me with the finished paperwork. Got the car for 30k out the door. Let the modding begin. I'm sure I'll have a million and one questions once I drive it a lot more. I thought my SRT-10 Ram had a ton of buttons, this thing must have been engineered by NASA
Yeah, they seem to be sticking really well for street tires. I was able to pull off a 1.7 60ft in them. Not sure i can really test them any further without a higher stall. I think i'm now limited by my converter. These tires bite hard.

I went from an SRT10 Ram to a 05 Z51 as well, you're going to love it, especially the difference in mileage and handling...
