Is anyone running the DMH or Quick Time Performance (QTP) on their C6. Have a stock 2005 C6 and would like to install cutouts but not sure which is more reliable.
They both run around $400 so price doesn't seem to make a difference.
Aww hell just throw the cutouts in and forget about the QTPs. I have a stock exhaust w/ 2 cutouts before the exhaust loops over the rear end with no caps whatsoever.
I run them wide open all the time. Everyone i come across just loves the way my car sounds. I get a lot of compliments on it.
Of course this is only temporary until i get my LTs and X pipe on there.
I have the new low profile DMH Cutouts. The quality is next to none!! From the craftsmanship of the cut out itself all the way down to the tasteful button. They are going on Friday, so I will let you know how it goes
I've had a QTP electronic cut out on my Z28 for almost 4 years now, it has been flawlessly reliable/dependable and LOTS OF fun.
From my experimentation with it, it should be worth roughly a full tenth+ reduction in 1/4 mile times as well.
anymore pictures of those installed? dosnt seem like there is much room in there. i have headers catless xpipe and bullets now i love how loud it is but sometimes wish it was a tad less noisey! what exhaust do you run with the cutous?
Yup, he had his C6 here a few weeks back and I was impressed with the fit n finish of it. Nice piece.
If all goes well it will be in production by carlisle to show off. I hope to have them shipping a little bit after that. Working on a G8 Screamer system now

I've seen it done with manifolds and no cats, in the space where the cats go, on a car without headers. With headers there is no way to do it up front.
