I just ordered an MGW but I've found the Palm method to be pretty good, but you have to be spot on. I think the Driver mod is probably the best fix but I'm sure the MGW will help.
You also might want to try changing your Clutch fluid, I've frequently had problems hitting third 3rd under full throttle when the fluid gets dark. you can do a search for forum member named "Ranger" and read his detailed instructions on his website to understnd the concepts of why it is so important to change the fluid and how to do the Palm method. He knows this stuff inside out...
